Our Story


The Infirmary Federal Credit Union (TIFCU) was chartered in September 1974, to serve the employees of Mobile Infirmary. As The Infirmary has grown, so has the Credit Union’s field of membership. Please see below for membership eligibility.

Membership

The Infirmary Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member owned, federally insured financial institution that has served the needs of healthcare professionals employed within Infirmary Health and its affiliates and their families since 1974. Historically, membership in our Credit Union was a benefit only available to those employed by Infirmary Health and its affiliates; however, in March of 2016, our membership was opened to all professionals and support staff employed in the healthcare industry in the Alabama counties of Baldwin, Escambia and Mobile.

To join simply deposit $5 into a regular share (savings) account. Once your account is opened, you can apply for any of the services through The Infirmary Federal Credit Union.
